Privacy and terms

TrueStars has no accounts, sets no cookies and runs no ads or analytics. It collects nothing about you. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and Explore, the home page, loads repo and owner pictures from GitHub. GitHub may log those visits, as GitHub's privacy statement describes.

YouTube, X and Bluesky

Repo pages list YouTube videos that link a repo, found through the YouTube API Services, and count the posts on X and on Bluesky that link it, through X's API and Bluesky's public API. For Bluesky we keep only counts per day and a link to one post. By using TrueStars you agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service. Google's handling of YouTube data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. TrueStars keeps YouTube, X and Bluesky data for at most 3 days; repos near the top are looked up again every day.
